The Esme is our winter coat for the stretch of the year when the coat you grab is the outfit. It comes in Taupe and Black in one generous size, cut to fit a broad range.
What Makes It Work
- A-line cut: narrow at the shoulder, widening to the hem — which is how one size manages to fit a range of shapes.
- Waist belt included: the belt is what makes the one-size cut work. Cinch it to your own waist, or leave it loose for a swing shape.
- Falls below the knee: the length that makes the difference on a station platform.
- Two quiet colourways: taupe and black, both of which sit under everything else in the wardrobe.
How To Wear It
Start with the boring version — jeans, a jumper, boots — and it still looks intentional. Swap in wide trousers and a loafer and it reads as an outfit someone planned.
Fabric & Care
Dry clean recommended to protect the structure. Spot-clean small marks with a damp cloth. Steam rather than iron, and rest it on a broad hanger between wears.

One size — will it actually fit me?
It is cut to fit roughly UK 8–16 comfortably, and the belt takes up the difference. Check the bust and length rows in the size guide against your own measurements.
Will it fit over a jumper?
It will — the A-line shape is widest exactly where a jumper needs the room.
Is it smart enough for the office?
Yes. Belted, it reads as tailoring; unbelted, as an easy swing coat.
